Even though Gilmer County is traditionally known as the Apple Capital, it is quickly becoming known for its wine as well.
The original farmsite was established circa 1890. The 13 planted acres of vines combined the original farm layout with the specific vineyard needs. The layout of the vineyard allows the highest quality grape harvest. The turn of the century dilapidated barn called the Nealey Barn is home to the wine tastings and indoor events and weddings!
The first plantings were in the fall of 2010 with the first vintages being released in 2011: Among the wines available are Vidal Blanc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
