At one time, Georgia had more than 200 covered bridges. Less than 20 remain today and Watson Mill Bridge State Park is home to the longest original site covered bridge. Built in 1885, it is supported by a town lattice truss system held together with wooden pins!
Along with the visiting the bridge, you'll find a variety of activities to do in this park - horseback riding, jogging, biking, camping, picnicking and even playing in the river under the bridge. So go enjoy the day!
