Housed in the renovated 1920's cotton warehouse, The Georgia Rural Telephone Museum houses the largest, oldest and rarest examples of telecommunication equipment in the world dating from 1876 to the present!
The museum is dedicated to the men and women who worked so hard and so long to give us the greatest communication system in the world.
One of my favorites is the exhibit which contains one of the rare 50 line switch boards from 1882 and an operator headset from 1880!
The Georgia Rural Telephone Museum is located in Leslie. For more information, visit the website or call (229) 874-4786.
